Top Solicitors Set Out To Prove Berkshire’s Got Legal Talent.
Reading’s top legal firms are battling rivals from Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire in the annual Law Society awards taking place on June 15th this year.
Jane Whitfield, Vice-President of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Law Society and solicitor with Barrett and Co LLP in Reading explains that the Thames Valley is a great place for law firms and the standard is high.
“We have more than 10,000 solicitors in our three counties, so to be nominated as one of the best will be a real achievement,” said Jane.
“We have several categories for firms to enter. They are;
- Lawyer of the Year Award 2018 ·
- Junior Lawyer of the Year Award 2018 ·
- Pro Bono / Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2018 ·
- Solicitor–Advocate of the Year Award 2018 ·
- Legal Team of the Year 2018 ·
- President’s Award 2018
“Our members do a great job for thousands of people and I’m hoping firms won’t be too reticent to enter these awards – lawyers tend to be a bit shy about this sort of thing!”
Jane said last year’s awards were a great success and the winners were thrilled. There’s still time to enter and it’s a simple process.
“We’ve made the entry process as simple as possible. All firms that want to take part can find the relevant details on our awards website http://www.bbolawsoc.org.uk “said Jane.
“Firms can enter their staff for more than one category. Entries have to be made by May 21st Nominated firms will find out if they have won the top prize at the dinner.”
The awards will be presented at the President’s dinner held at the Spires Hotel in Oxford.
